Given the prevalence of online security breaches and cyber-attacks across all sectors of society, it’s never been more crucial to bolster cybersecurity and to keep online data safe from malevolent intentions. This is even truer with government offices, hence the National Cyber Security Agency’s move to meet with partners of the National Digital Safety Initiative.
This meeting aims to help streamline processes to boost awareness on cybersecurity and digital vigilance. Online safety concepts are among the efforts discussed, with the meeting attended by experts from the National Cyber Security Agency among others.
This is especially important given the digital goals outlined in Qatar’s National Vision 2030. Hand-in-hand with the Awareness and Digital safety Objective, the meeting sheds light on the National Digital Safety Initiative as well.
“The strategic dimension of this project is evident through the participation of a large number of organisations, with each organisation undertaking tasks and responsibilities that align with its core focus, aiming to integrate efforts positively impacting the initiative’s outcomes,” says Dalal al-Aqeedi, director of the National Cyber Excellence Department at the National Cyber Security Agency.
In other news, the Ministry of Labour (MoL) has partnered with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) to help raise awareness on the risks of heat stress. This also includes how to preserve mental health and safety at work as conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Department.
