With the Ministry of Labor’s continuing initiatives to boost the workforce in Qatar, it certainly seems like the sector isn’t slowing down any time soon – for both public and private sectors included. This is especially true with the recent consultative meeting that the ministry held alongside some of the country’s leading private sector companies, where various CEOs were in attendance with the goal of strengthening partnerships between sectors.
As chaired by Assistant Undersecretary for Manpower Affairs in the Private Sector Khames Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the meeting was an important step in continuing healthy collaborations across the country’s work environment. This kind of dialogue is very much in sync with the “Empowering Qatar” initiative, offering a variety of opportunities that both sectors can take part in to bolster growth.
Of course, the discussions included the different challenges and obstacles that all parties face when it comes to training and recruiting talents across Qatar. The ministry is, after all, committed to creating different opportunities for sustainable employment in the State, all to improve the competitiveness of the sector in line with the Private Sector Nationalization Law and, eventually, with Qatar National Vision 2030.
In other news, there was also a recent agreement signed by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), Education Above All (EAA), and King’s Trust International (KTI) to address issues on global youth unemployment. This includes initiatives on helping the youth thrive in the job market to contribute to sustainable development.
