In order to facilitate the processing of labour disputes, the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) has partnered with the Ministry of Labour (MoL) in inaugurating a new avenue for parties to settle labour disputes. The new headquarters of the resolution committees is at the SJC building in the Industrial Area. This is to help speed up judicial transactions when it comes to labour issues, making it easier and quicker to complete these transactions as the geographical distribution of committees continues to expand.
The aforementioned inauguration was performed in the presence of HE SJC President Dr Hassan bin Lahdan al-Hassan al-Muhannadi as well as HE Minister of Labour Dr Ali bin Smaikh al Marri.
This also comes as an initiative to facilitate processes especially as the World Cup nears. Additionally, it comes as an implementation of the Cabinet decision No 6 of 2018 regarding labour dispute resolution committees.
In other news, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has stated in its Travel and Return Policy that visitors to Qatar will not be required to pre-register on the Ehteraz app. This will begin on November 1st prior to arrival.
According to the website, “Citizens and residents are advised to exercise caution when travelling to international destinations taking into account their vaccination status and the extent to which Covid-19 is spreading in the country of arrival.”
As such, all travellers are advised to familiarise themselves with the revisions to the travel and return policy of the State. This includes measures surrounding quarantine, Covid-19 tests, self-isolation, vaccination and so on.
As for the Ehteraz Mobile Application Policy, everyone must present their health status whenever they’re entering both public and private healthcare institutions. For instance, a golden frame will be present for fully vaccinated persons, while vaccines received outside the country and have not yet been updated in the system will be green without a golden frame and so on.
