Workers from the private sector can now check the terms of their contracts via a unified digital platform, as the Ministry of Labour has updated the authentication of digital contracts. With this new update, contract terms can be approved or rejected online. Additionally, the digital platform also offers authentication for domestic worker contracts – no need to visit service centres physically to avail of this service.
This update is in line with the Ministry of Labour’s initiatives to improve its contract authentication services along with other advancements. With better implementations and applications of technological advancements in the field, the MoL is able to enhance the labour sector, and along with e-authentication, the contract can also be automatically audited.
Employers can use the portal via the National Authentication System (NAS), which can then be transferred to the employee for approval via the worker’s portal as well. This contract offers multi-language support in 11 languages.
The data entered within the system must be valid, and it is the responsibility of the establishment to ensure that the signatures are authentic. This validity is done through the mandatory declaration of the digital service. For any payment of fees, a valid bank payment card is needed as linked with Hukoomi. Note that once the contract is approved, a copy of the contract will be printed – this is done in both Arabic and the language of the employee.
