In a move to assist Qatari nationals with securing jobs, the Ministry of Labour has launched training courses in cooperation with the Department of Qualifying Skills Development. From August 25th to 28th, the program was held in partnership with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants (QACPA) to educate job seekers on internal audit lessons.
This also included controlling tenders and financial contracts, specifically targeted at Qataris and children of Qatari women graduates who have specialised in accounting.
The initiative aims to boost accounting skills in the private sector workforce in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
Part of the program was to train participants in the proper standards of financial auditing, as well as the fundamentals of internal audits. Training sessions were also conducted on the new tools used in the industry, which included techniques on how to conduct internal analyses and assessments to manage risks. All these should help participants gain a better understanding of how to achieve financial sustainability for an organisation.
In other news, Qatar will be hosting the GCC countries’ Ministerial Meetings on Civil Service, Labor and Social Affairs/Social Development next week from September 1st to the 4th. This will be held in Doha to boost cooperation initiatives among the GCC members.
