The State of Qatar continues to show how much it values labor affairs especially in light of the pandemic. The government participated in two meetings of the GCC Ministers of Labor Committee, and the GCC Ministers of Social Affairs and Development Committee to showcase its commitment, as represented by HE the Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs Yousuf bin Mohammed Al Othman Fakhroo.
In the aforementioned meetings, issues on labor and social affairs were brought to the table, with development in the GCC countries along with other related fields added to the agenda.
In line with this, the College of the North Atlantic – Qatar (CNA-Q) will be organizing a virtual career fair in order to further develop the career landscape in the region as well as to encourage individuals to seek job employment opportunities with the participation of more than 50 companies. The fair will last for two days, and will not only provide employment opportunities but also sponsorship opportunities.
“We believe that this career fair is more than just a platform to bring together job-seekers and employers. It is a hub for interaction, advice and capacity building. At CNA-Q, students are placed at the centre of our learning process. We aim to give them as many real-life learning experiences as we can, so they can extend what they acquired in the classroom to their broader communities,” says CNA-Q president Dr Salem al-Naemi in a statement. “This yearly event is part of many activities we host to provide our talented individuals with career guidance. CNA-Q also boasts a career counseling and resource centre (CCRC), to assist students with career plans, job search techniques and help them sharpen their employability skills. We appreciate the contribution of all our partners to this event and we hope they continue to support the College and help us nurture young ambitious minds.”
The event will be held virtually from 10am to 5pm, and will be open to everyone in the country. This is an especially lucrative opportunity for high school students as well, since it will provide a better picture and some valuable insights into how they envision their future careers.
Sectors include the oil and gas industry, banking and commerce, healthcare, engineering, technology, telecommunications, and so on. There will also be various well-known speakers as well as career experts ready to help during the event. If you wish to register for the fair, you may visit the official website to stay updated on the latest news.
