In line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030, Expo 2023 Doha is inviting everyone to come and join the festivities with free entry to the event, allowing visitors to enjoy pre-made itineraries in order for Qatar to showcase its best tourism spots. Visit Qatar has announced as well that the Hayya Card option will be available.
Organised under the Ministry of Municipality, Expo 2023 Doha will run from October 2nd to March 28th, and visitors can take advantage of pre-set itineraries from one to six days. This should allow visitors to experience the best the country has to offer when it comes to cultural landmarks, street art, heritage locations, shopping areas, museums, culinary delights, beaches, adventure sites and other tourist spots in cooperation with Qatar Tourism.
It is expected that the six-month event with the theme “Green Desert, Better Environment” will attract 80 countries totalling three million visitors. In line with this, the Hayya Card was launched to allow visitors to enjoy the country’s sites during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. This serves as a special Fan ID that also offers free access to various transportation methods such as metro and bus services. The validity of this card was extended by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) until January 24th next year.
In particular, visitors can take a trip to see the “Unesco World Heritage Al Zubarah Archaeological site, Katara Cultural Village, The Pearl-Qatar, Al Sheehaniya Camel Race Track, East-West/West-East installation, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, Souq Waqif, Msheireb Museums, Museum of Islamic Art, National Museum of Qatar, Museum of Illusions, the Corniche” and more.
