In order to raise awareness about the various services that the Ministry of Labour offers, the MoL organised a special seminar for entrepreneurs in partnership with the Qatar Development Bank (QDB). Titled “Services of the Ministry of Labour for entrepreneurs”, the seminar shed light on the many initiatives that the ministry has undertaken recently to help business owners stay privy to the digital enhancements in the sector.
With the seminar, the ministry aims to facilitate the services and the delivery of these endeavours for the customer. This, in turn, should boost the overall support system for all parties involved within the industry.
In line with this, the new fully digital service called the “Request to Join the Labour Market (Change from Family Residency to Work Residency)” was showcased to support private businesses. This should help simplify the employment of local residents.
Additionally, the new service should serve as a special way to empower residents with new employment opportunities. To further boost this initiative, various departments from the MoL deployed representatives to the seminar to open discussions on the digital transformation plan. This also included a special focus on the “Request to Amend Occupations on Work-Permits” and “Attestation of Work Contracts inside the State of Qatar” e-services.
Of course, after the seminar, the floor was opened to entertain questions and concerns from the entrepreneurs in attendance. The seminar is one of the many workshops that the ministry is spearheading to increase public awareness of its e-services.
