The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has now officially launched a unified platform for labor complaints in its first phase. This unified avenue will provide a safe and accessible space for employees to file their complaints and reports, and it can easily be accessible via all kinds of modern devices. The platform can be accessed using computers, smartphones, and tablets.
According to the ministry, the new platform’s first stage will allow the community to submit their labor complaints online. This will include employees and workers in the private sector as well as domestic workers. The handy tool will offer a reporting service for all citizens as well as residents of the State. Here, anyone can report public violations of the Labour Law.
In order to submit a labour complaint, the employee must indicate the personal number or work visa number. Note that the mobile phone number must be registered on the same card or the same visa number. To file a complaint, simply log in via the national authentication system that is available on the platform.
If you wish to receive any notification about the complaint, such as an update to the request or in order to follow-up on the status of the complaint, the worker may add another number to the platform. He or she will be able to receive text messages and email. Along with this, the worker will also be able to review his or her data that’s registered on the database of the ministry, as well as update any existing contact information.
Should you need to attach any pertinent attachments, you may do so as long as the size of the files does not 10MB per attachment.
What is the nature of the specific violation of the Labour Law? Reports such as labour gatherings and even inappropriate worker accommodation can be duly filed, along with violations at worksites. This also includes working with a visit visa, as well as employing violating workers.
Finally, the new platform has a specific advantage when it comes to filling in data about the facility, such as the name of the facility as well as the notified body. This also includes the registration number of the facility if applicable, plus a description of the facility and the address of the entity on Google Maps.
The second phase will be implemented soon. This will allow users to submit complaints on recruitment offices, as well as issues on nurseries and unsatisfactory performance from a facility or employer.
