PSA Qatar online registration for 2020 census now open
From now until the 15th of March, Qataris may now register online for the Qatar 2020 census. The Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) launched the online service for the convenience of individuals and families. The final phase of the Qatar 2020 census will commence on March 22, and this vital process will be instrumental in the final phase of the census fieldwork.
In accordance with the Decision of the Council of Ministers No (4) of 2018 to conduct the general census of population, the census will also take into account various housing and establishments for 2020. The statistical form can be filled out via field researchers for families. Qataris will now also have the option of providing the necessary information via the online form.
According to the statement, “This service is currently available until March 15, noting that families and individuals who register in this service during the specified period will have the opportunity to fill in their census data electronically from March 22 to April 10, and without the need for a field visit. This method is considered one of the latest technological methods applied in field censuses and surveys in collecting data through an online form available to all Qataris, whether inside or outside the country, in addition to non-Qataris residing within the country.”
As an additional service, the Planning and Statistics Authority will duly communicate with individuals and families who register in this online service via text messages. This way, the authority will be able to inform the registrants over the phone about the specified date when it comes to completing the electronic form. The authority can also make use of these text messages to inform the public about how to enter the census data to make sure that all of the information provided is accurate and complete. This ensures complete confidentiality as well.
