Kahramaa aims to upgrade services with pre-paid features

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) aims to feature pre-paid meters for customers in its move to upgrade facilities and move to a more remote access service.

Kahramaa president Issa bin Hilal al-Kuwari announced the company’s plan to sign contracts with an international company in the presence of HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.

At the third edition of Najah Qatari (Qatari success) festival at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, various exciting announcements were made. Attendees include HE the Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali, HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie, festival organising committee chairman Khalid bin Nasser al-Utaibi, and HE the Prime Minister himself.

Speaking about the various struggles encountered and the major economic developments achieved by each party, the officials shared their experiences professionally. These officials were HE the Minister of State Ahmed bin Mohamed al-Sayed, Qatar Media City CEO Mohamed Badr al-Sada, Public Works Authority (Ashghal) president Saad bin Ahmed al-Mohannadi, and Aspetar director general and Aspire Zone Foundation CEO Mohamed bin Khalifa al-Suwaidi.

Further developments include engaging the youth and more aspiring entrepreneurs to unleash their creative potential at the free zones project, encouraging business owners to partner with international companies, setting up joint projects with public and private sectors, attracting technology companies and holding more fruitful negotiations with them, as well as completing infrastructure works at Um Al Houl and Abou Fentas free zones.

There are various new developments in store for all the members of the said departments. The Doha beautification project was also highlighted, as well as the launching of the Sports Business Avenue and various partnerships with the Qatar Development Bank, the Qatar Financial Centre, and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
