In the State of Qatar, it is important for the government to be able to provide any form of assistance to individuals who are in need, especially due to unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances. These may include individuals who have been rendered jobless through forces that are out of their control or through no fault of their own, or those who have been abandoned by parents before an orphan can reach the age of majority. This can also include a widowed woman who will no longer have any means of living a good quality of life due to the death or the abandonment of the husband.
As such, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has put in place various measures to make sure that the citizens of Qatar are in good hands no matter how bleak circumstances may seem at the moment. One such assistance is the social security pension for a divorced woman or divorcees in Qatar. In this instance, the much-needed aid will come in a financial form as well, ensuring that a woman who is divorced from her husband can receive monetary compensation.
The divorced woman’s legal period (Iddah) must have already ended, and she must not have remarried. This way, the divorced woman will no longer have a capable breadwinner who can support her with enough income. She must not have a sufficient income source as well to live a good quality of life.
In order to apply for the social security pension, the divorcee must apply in person at the MADLSA offices located near her. Fill up the form on the Application for Social Security Pension Divorced Woman completely and accurately. Once the form is complete, submit it to the licensing authorities.
Don’t forget to attach the required documents along with the submission as well. You will need to provide a copy of your QID card, as well as the Divorce/ Khul’ certificate. The applicant must also submit a certificate of non-marriage status, as well as the QID card of the father along with the certificate of allocation of the salary of the father (this is needed in case of death). Lastly, keep in mind that you must also supply your bank account information, divorce details, complete address, telephone number, and any other relevant information.
Once all of the documents have been submitted, the relevant authorities will verify the information in the application, which is why it is important to provide accurate and complete details to avoid any further delays. The documents will also be validated for authenticity. When the verification process is complete, you can collect a new Social Security pensioner’s card.
Keep in mind that the applicant must be a permanent resident of Qatar at the time of the application. The validity period of the pension is for one year, and it may take around three to five days for the processing to finish, provided there are no errors or missing information upon submission.
